Tortoiseshell Persian Cats
A tortoiseshell — "tortie" — Persian wears a marbled mix of black and red (and their dilute grey and cream versions), almost always in a female cat.
We don't currently have Tortoiseshell Persian kittens.
We're a doll-face Persian cattery in Mansfield, TX. Here's what this look is all about — and the temperament-matched kittens we do have available now.
What is a tortoiseshell Persian
Tortie coats blend two colors in a mottled, no-white pattern; add white and you have a calico. Because the pattern is tied to the female chromosome, torties are nearly always girls — and famous for spirited "tortitude."
Care & the doll-face difference
Like every Persian, a tortie needs regular brushing and benefits enormously from the doll-face structure we breed for: better airflow and fewer tear-duct and dental problems.
